Penalty Cup Interview. Raja Isa with Ironman Khairi
RAJA ISA PENALTY CUP 2025 (Siri 1) is the inaugural championship with a Grand Finale in December 2025. The competition is open to international competitors. Each team will send 5 players and 2 goalkeepers (to be accompanied by the team coach) according to their age group - U8, U10 or U12. Each team will play at least 4 matches.
Each age group will be divided into groups of 5 teams per group. An age group with two groups (ten teams) will have the winner of each group meet in a final to determine the champion of the age group. An age group with more than two groups will have a semifinal and a final to determine the champion of the age group.
Matches are played with five (5) penalty kicks for each team. In case the result is a tie, the two goalkeepers in each team will take the next two penalty kicks. In case the result is still a tie, the match will go into sudden death with players and goalkeepers taking turns in sequence of the first seven (7) penalty kicks to take additional penalty kicks. If the result is still a tie, the match will be decided by a toss of coin.
Group matches will start at 8.30am. The final match (and semifinal if applicable) for each age group will be played in the afternoon after a 90-minute break upon completion of group stage. The day should end by 4.30pm.
There will be medals for every player of each group's winner and runner-up, as well as for each age group's winner and runner-up. The winning team of each age group will also get a Champion's Cup. Every participant will receive a participation certificate.
There will also be a golden boot for the top scoring player and a golden glove for the best goalkeeper in the RAJA ISA PENALTY CUP 2025 (Siri 1) competition.
Champions of each age group will qualify for the Grand Finale in December 2025.
